About me.

My name is Melisa Bakir and I’m a writer/director based in London. I have directed three short films. Most recently, Only Feminists Left Alive, my graduation project from the University of Arts London. I also work as a costume and production designer.

Besides making films, I also write about film/tv and worked at Girls In Film & Flip Screen for over a year.
